REWIND FORWARD - A short documentary by Justin Stoneham

All his life, Justin managed to escape his own story. But his past catches up with him when he finds a box full of old family VHS tapes.

A film that begins as an homage to his deceased father develops into an attempt to no longer be a stranger to his own mother.

Fast sein ganzes Leben, gelang es Justin, vor seiner Geschichte zu fliehen. Doch er wird von seiner Vergangenheit eingeholt, als er eine Kiste mit Familien VHS-Kassetten findet.
Was als eine Hommage an seinen verstorbenen Vater begonnen hat, entwickelt sich in einen Versuch, seiner eigenen Mutter nicht länger fremd zu bleiben.

Eine Stripperin, ein Eishockeyfan und eine Nonne zeigen uns ihre Welt und ihre persönliche Leidenschaft. Das tosende Stadion, die stille Kapelle und der verrauchte Nachtclub – ein Mosaik aus Menschen und Orten. Was sie verbindet ist ein individueller Zugang zu Erfüllung.


A stripper, an ice hockey fan and a nun invite us into their worlds and talk about their individual passions. The roaring stadium, the quiet chapel and the smoky nightclub – a mosaic of people and places. They are united in their individual access to personal fulfilment.

In keiner anderen Beziehung ist Hass und Liebe, Nähe und Rivalität so nah beieinander wie unter Geschwistern. Keine menschliche Beziehung dauert länger, und selbst, wenn man wollte: Beenden kann man sie nie.

Geschwister sind gezwungen, sich mit einem Menschen auseinanderzusetzen, mit dem sie sonst vielleicht nichts zu tun haben wollten. Geschwister unterstützen, quälen und prägen. Am Beispiel von zwei Brüderpaaren erzählt „Brüder“ Geschichten über Eifersucht, Rivalität, Verbundenheit und Liebe.

Sipho Mabona is a professional origami Artist from Switzerland. As an ultimate prove that there are no limits to what can be made out of a uncut square piece of paper he plans to fold a life-size replica of an elephant. Over the course of several weeks the monumental sculpture will be folded at the Art Museum in Beromünster, Switzerland.
